ALBUQUERQUE Shift How do we promote the best habits for a healthy, conscious lifestyle? How do we shift away from mindless or unhelpful patterns into a sustainable lifestyle that nourishes us, body, mind, heart, and soul? Best of all, how does our Nia practice enable this shift? In this two hour workshop, you will reflect on your life in a way that’s positive and encouraging; learn about happiness; set intentions, goals, and plans for simple shifts that will open up your life to more happiness and ease; and dance in those shifts. There will be pre- and post-opportunities for additional reflection and engagement via email. Cost is $30, tax included, and includes the workshop plus four emails, one before the workshop and three after, designed to increase your self-knowledge and assist you in making an easy shift into the life you want. ALBUQUERQUE Create Own Routine Bootcamp FOR THOSE WHO HAVE COMPLETED WHITE BELT ONLY! "CREATE OUR OWN NEW YEAR'S ROUTINE & CHOREOGRAPHY" Bootcamp Sunday, December 7th, 2008 from 7am-6pm. Place TBD (in ABQ) $50 per person Each participant brings five favorite "new beginning" related songs (whatever that means to you in any way) with varying tempos and genres: ANYTHING goes. From our pool of music we will: develop one complete vertical routine, co-create a corresponding 8BCs list, co-develop choreography/simple katas for the routine, and hold a private class practice session. In this bootcamp, you will: Learn about creating your own routine playlist with music you know and don't know Learn basic choreography skills and kata building with the 52 moves Understand the Seven Cycles and delivering the Nia Promise effectively Experience collaborative learning with other Nia teachers Learn about creating workshops and facilitating and coordinating Nia Jams Learn a new 1-hour routine with everyone's combined musical energy and styles Coordinate a New Year's Jam for January 2008 and/or plan a special TWO HOUR workshop for students about setting intention for the year that is collaborative and co-created including sharing expenses and profits among participants Dec 7, 2008 WB Graduates only: Sunday, December 7th, 2008. 7am-6pm. One 15 minute break, one 30 minute BYOL break. Please plan to stay for the practice experience and do not leave early if at all possible.
